The south, down the Ovilla Road corridor, is half-acre and one-acre lots with a much looser feel. Those are two different fence jobs.

South of town the lots get bigger and the requirements change. Longer runs mean pipe and continuous panel rather than cedar, cattle guards where a gate is impractical, and cross-fencing to split a paddock off from the yard.
Drive gates are the other half of that work — swing, slide or cantilever, with custom cutouts and full automation, sized so the opener is not fighting a gate that is too heavy for it.

Building on Ellis County clay
Red Oak sits on the Blackland Prairie, and that clay moves more than most soil in Texas. It swells when it is wet and shrinks hard in a dry August, and a post set shallow in a narrow hole will be leaning inside two summers.
We dig proper diameter, set below the depth where the soil does most of its moving, and crown the concrete so water sheds away from the post rather than sitting against it. It is the least visible part of the job and the part that decides how long the fence lasts.
