Your local fence and outdoor living contractor in Crowley

Crowley sits right where south Fort Worth turns into Johnson County, and its housing reflects that — a mix of established mid-century streets with mature trees and newer subdivisions filling in toward Burleson.

Older Crowley properties often have fences at the end of their life, sometimes two or three replacements deep, with old post concrete still in the ground. Newer ones are usually builder-grade fence that was fine on handover and is now cupping and greying. We handle both, including the digging out of old footings that nobody enjoys and plenty of companies quietly skip.

What building in Crowley actually involves

Stained cedar privacy fence enclosing a full backyard in North Texas

Replacing a fence properly, old concrete and all

On a property that has had two or three fences, the ground is full of old post footings. The lazy approach is to set new posts alongside them, which puts the fence off the property line and gives the new posts less soil to grip. The right approach is to break out and remove the old concrete and set fresh.

We include tear-out, old footing removal and full haul-off in the quote, so nothing is left in your yard and nothing surprises you on the invoice.

  • Old post footings broken out and removed
  • New posts set on the true line
  • Complete tear-out and haul-off included
  • No hidden extras on the invoice

Upgrading builder-grade fencing

Most newer Crowley homes were handed over with a thin side-by-side cedar fence on minimum-depth posts. It looks acceptable for a year, then the boards shrink apart, the pickets cup and the whole run starts to grey.

The upgrade is straightforward: board-on-board construction so shrinkage does not open gaps, a third rail on six-foot runs, better post depth, and a penetrating stain. It costs more than the builder spent, and it lasts several times as long.

  • Board-on-board instead of side-by-side
  • Third rail on six-foot runs
  • Deeper posts in full concrete collars
  • Stained rather than left to grey

Decks, covers and backyard structures

Crowley back yards are generally a good size, which makes them well suited to a deck, a patio cover or a pavilion — the structures that turn a lawn into a place people actually sit.

We build decks on properly sized footings with flashed ledgers and taped joists, and we cover them with roofs matched to the pitch and shingle of the house so the addition looks original rather than bolted on.

  • Properly footed, flashed and taped framing
  • Cable, horizontal and picket railings
  • Covers matched to the existing roof
  • Permitted and inspected

Questions

Crowley homeowners ask us

Do you remove the old fence and the old post concrete?

Yes — tear-out, removal of old post footings and full haul-off are included in our quotes. Setting new posts beside old concrete pushes the fence off line and weakens the footing, so we break the old material out properly.

Can you replace a builder-grade fence with something better?

That is a large part of what we do in newer neighbourhoods. Moving from side-by-side to board-on-board, adding a third rail, setting posts deeper and finishing with a proper stain gives you a dramatically longer-lived fence for a modest step up in price.

Do you serve Crowley from Alvarado?

Yes, Crowley is about twenty minutes north of our shop and we work there regularly, along with Burleson and south Fort Worth.

How soon can you start?

Lead times move with the season — spring and early summer are busiest. We give you a realistic scheduled window in writing when you accept the proposal rather than an optimistic promise we cannot keep.
