A long fence run is a big commitment — a lot of pickets and a lot of posts. On this Grace Construction project we built the run on black steel posts and finished it in a deep stain for strength and consistency.
Why long runs need steel
The longer the fence, the more posts can fail, and on an open lot there is little to break the wind. Steel posts keep every section straight and resist wind load, so one bad post does not start a lean down the line.
